Eva Rothschild, born 1971, is an Irish artist now living and working in London. She makes sculpture primarily for the eye, working in a range of materials. She is interested in the transformative power of looking.

Recent solo exhibitions and public commissions have included  A Gated Community, Sonnaveld House, Het Nieuwe Institute, Rotterdam, 2016, Middle Temple, Kaufmann Repetto, Milan, 2015, Hugh Lane Gallery, Dublin, 2014, large-scale sculpture Why Don't You? at The Nasher Sculpture centre, Dallas, Texas in 2012, the film Boys and Sculpture, made for The Whitechapel Gallery Children’s Commission in 2012, Hot Touch, the inaugural exhibition at The Hepworth, Wakefield which travelled to Kunstverein Hannover, Hannover, Germany in 2011, Empire, 2011, a Public Art Fund Commission sited in Central Park, New York and Cold Corners made in 2009 for Tate Britain’s Duveen gallery commission.

Group exhibitions have included Rapture & Pain, Lustwarande ’15, Fundament Foundation, Netherlands, 2015, You Imagine What You Desire, Sydney Biennial, Sydney, Australia, 2014, We are living on a star, Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, Oslo, Norway, 2014, Changing States, Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, in 2013, Making is Thinking, Witte de With, Rotterdam, Netherlands in 2011, The Dark Monarch, Tate St Ives, St. Ives in 2009, and Un-monumental: Falling to Pieces in the 21st Century, at the New Museum, New York in 2007.

The artist also presented collaborative performance work created with choreographer Joe Moran as part of Block Universe and Fig-2 at ICA, London in 2015. Her work is included in public and private collections including Tate Britain, MoMA, New York and the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
